Dr. Saeed Alhassan Alkhazraji is an associate professor in the department of chemical engineering. He holds a BSc, MS and PhD in chemical engineering from Vanderbilt University, Colorado School of Mines and Case Western Reserve University; respectively. Dr. Saeed is the first recipient of the inaugural Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Award for Scientific Excellence in 2017. Dr. Saeed’s research activities focus on colloids, polymers and surface sciences with emphasis on nanocomposites and processing of nanoparticles. Dr. Saeed has been working in the past five years on developing new applications for elemental sulfur as United Arab Emirate ramping up its production of the element. Dr. Saeed has published 87 journal articles, 2 book chapters, 5 patents, 6 patent applications, 11 invited lectures and more than 64 conference papers.
