Dr. Shamsa is a Senior Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology & Chair of Ob/Gyn department, college of Medicine & health Sciences at UAE University, the Vice Chair of UAE Higher Medical Liability Committee, Chair of Women and Child Health Advisory Group in Abu Dhabi and member of Emirati Medical Council in Department of Health AD.

Dr. Shamsa graduated with distinctions from Sultan Qaboos University with Bch of Medical Sciences and MD. She persuaded her postgraduate studies at McGill University, Montreal in Canada and graduated with Alice Benjamin Award of Excellence in Obstetrics. She has the Fellowship in Ob/Gyn from Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC), American Board in OB/Gyn & Fellowship of American Congress in OB/Gyn, Fellowship of American Board in Hospital Management (FABC), Fellowship of American Board in Medical Quality and Certified American Medicolegal Consultant.

Dr Shamsa is a highly caliber award winning women advocate for which her excellency was identified through “Alice Benjamin” Award of Excellence in Obstetrics, AD Medical Award in Clinical performance, Sh. Shamsa Bint Suhail Creative women Award, Arab Women Award- medical, Women UAE Volunteers and UAEU Chancellor’s Medal for the community worker
