Dr. Ayesha AlMheiri is a dedicated Family Medicine Specialist, Medical Internship
Program Director, and chair of training . She earned her Arab Board and MRCGP certifications in Family Medicine in 2021, a foundation that has fueled
her commitment to both clinical practice and medical education. Her passion for teaching
led her to complete a degree in Leadership in Health Profession Education in 2020,
a milestone that shaped her philosophy around learner-centered education.
As an educator, Dr. AlMheiri integrates active learning methods like Team-Based Learning
(TBL), Case-Based Learning (CBL), and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) into her teaching.
Her journey began as a Clinical Lecturer at MBRU, where she guided students through
interactive TBL sessions. In 2021, she became a core faculty member in the Family
Medicine residency, redesigning educational activities to foster self-directed learning
and critical thinking.
Since her appointment as Medical Internship Program Director in 2023, Dr. AlMheiri
has ensured trainees receive exceptional training across multiple clinical sites,
emphasizing mentorship and high-quality assessments.
