Sara Maki is a Medical Research Specialist in the OB/Gyn Department at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), UAE University, where she has worked since 2014. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Lab Technology from the University of Sharjah, UAE, and a Diploma in Health Management from the American Institute of Healthcare and Hospital Management. In 2023, she completed a Fellowship in Molecular Biology of Gonadotropins and Sex Steroid Hormones at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Modena, Italy. Ms. Maki is also an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (2022) and a Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor (2021).

Ms. Maki has extensive experience as an examiner for medical students in OSCE and MiniCex exams. She has coordinated, contributed to, and played a key role in numerous scientific research projects. She is a frequent speaker at conferences, including the 19th Emirates Obstetrics Gynecology & Fertility Forum (EOFF) in 2023 (Postpartum Haemorrhage Workshop) and 2024 (Assisted Vaginal Delivery Team Approach).
