Is a daily online newsletter by the University Outreach Department (UOD) to highlight the most remarkable news of the ongoing UAEU Innovation Activities Week - as part of its participation in "UAE Innovation Month” which will take place from (1-7 February 2018). UAEU has organized a significant comprehensive programme of diversified activities to showcase the outstanding innovations of faculty, students and UAEU distinguished researchers, which will be explored via different media outlets to acknowledge the huge impact of their innovative ideas and achievements to develop the modern life style.

UAE February for Innovation

UAE Innovation Month activities has launched following the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to celebrate UAE innovations and its inventors.

This nationwide celebration is set to be held across the seven emirates through a week-long programme of innovation activities specified for each emirate, in which the government, the private sector and individuals will be participating to help create a widespread culture of innovation in UAE.

Highlights

 Of the fourth issue of UAE Innovation Month Activities.

 

The workshop ‘Translation, Innovation and the Move Towards Artificial Intelligence’ suggests ways for developing translation-based technologies.

 

At the Students' Innovative Geospatial Research Exhibition, students showcase their related research posters.

 

‘Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences: Future Perspectives’ discusses the academic role of interdisciplinary approaches in Humanities and Social Sciences.

 

Innovative Physics Exhibition showcases Innovative Sensor Technology, Data Processing with Optical Pulses, Observations and Monitoring of Transient Astronomical Sources Using Radio Telescopes.

 

‘Living Lab Experience in Geospatial Sciences and Space’ aims to encourage audience to experience and test different related applications and practices implemented in the field.

 

A bootcamp workshop is held on: IoT Connected Cars Use, Solutions using Practical Approach, Data Science, Big Data Analytics and Cloud Computing.
