UAE INNOVATES 2024

Innovation has always been the heartbeat of the UAE’s successful development. Fifty years ago, people of this nation were exhorted to invent solutions, urged to discover new methods of working, and encouraged to be creative with existing knowledge – to improve the conditions of the new nation. Innovation propelled the UAE towards its intended direction of travel with tremendous success.

Today, innovation is the key to our fresh future and the goals of the Centennial Plan 2071.

In 2017, in a speech to the first Mohamed bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations, His Highness President Sheikh Mohammed challenged young people to do better than their predecessors. He asked them to create an even more successful country – a competitive, world-leading centre of creativity and inventiveness. He said,

“You are better than us, and you have to be better than us – there is no option. You have to be better than your fathers and grandfathers.”

At UAEU our educational mission is fuelled by the spirit of research, entrepreneurship, and innovation. These elements combine into an intellectual environment that prepares students to take their place in the nation’s new future.

Our graduates will have the ethics, knowledge, and skills required. They will ensure the UAE is positioned as knowledge-economy founded on innovative science, digital advancement, and enhanced technologies.

Therefore UAEU, ‘The University of the Future’, welcomes the UAE Innovation Month and we are excited by the many projects we have in place to honour and celebrate it. We anticipate that these activities will serve as inspiration to our talented young students, propelling them to invest their diverse expertise in the many fields vital to solving both global challenges and driving the UAE’s continued excellence, prosperity, and advance.
