Dr. Ibrahim Balla Ibrahim Elhassan is a clinical oncologist and health professions
educator. He is a Senior Medical Education Specialist at the National Institute of
Health Specialties. He boasts an impressive 20-year career marked by significant contributions
to Clinical Oncology, academic management, and higher education leadership. His expertise
encompasses strategic planning, program management, accreditation, assessment, and
simulation program development.
Dr.Elhassan is a Member of the International Association for Health Profession Education
(AMEE), the African Forum for Research & Education in Health (AFREhealth), and a Member
of the WHO-Global Health Workforce Network (GHWN).
Dr. Elhassan's commitment to advancing medical education and healthcare is evident
through crucial leadership roles, including his previous position as Dean of the faculty
of medicine at Nahda College, Sudan, and Deputy Academic Secretary at the Sudan Medical
Specialization Board (SMSB). He also served as Deputy Director of the Educational
Development Centre (EDC) at SMSB and the Director of the Khartoum Breast Oncology
Centre (KBCC).
His international experience spans the UAE, Sudan, South Sudan, Nigeria, Eretria,
Somalia, and Pakistan, providing a diverse perspective on healthcare systems and education
methods across cultures.
Dr. Elhassan's dedication to enhancing oncology and medical education and his academic
management and healthcare leadership accomplishments made him a prominent figure in
the field. His expertise continues to inspire and benefit healthcare professionals
