It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Eighth International Conference on Engineering Geophysics (ICEG) here at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) in the beautiful Garden City of Al Ain, UAE. Since its inception in 2011, the ICEG has become a premier event in the field, organized in collaboration with Al Ain City Municipality (AAM). Over the years, the conference has witnessed remarkable growth, with an ever-increasing number of participants and high-quality papers being submitted from around the globe. This success is a testament to the vibrant academic community that supports the event and to the growing global interest in the field of engineering and environmental geophysics.

In 2017, we took a bold step to make ICEG a truly innovative platform by introducing the Innovation Award for Geophysics, a competition that has since become a trademark of the conference. The award recognizes outstanding contributions in the field, with the top three ranked candidates receiving financial support. This initiative continues to inspire creativity and excellence, further enhancing the value of the conference for researchers and professionals alike.

As the university at the heart of this gathering, UAEU is committed to providing world-class higher education and conducting pioneering research that addresses both regional and global challenges.
