One day (approximately 6 hours), combining a lecture with a live field demonstration
on the UAEU campus.
Content Overview:
Foundations of 3D ERT: Sensitivity functions, pseudo-depth conventions (Edwards, Butler, Fréchet), and the
importance of 3D in constrained urban environments.
Array Types for 3D Surveys: Dipole-dipole star-shape, gradient, Wenner, radial, and azimuthal configurations.
Field Protocol Design: Geometric factor K filtering, signal-strength budgeting, and single-channel instrument
optimization.
Live Field Demonstration:A 7×4 electrode grid (28 electrodes, 12×6m) using the SuperSting R1 on the UAEU campus,
featuring real-time data acquisition, 3D pseudo section display, and command file
generation using the AGI 3D Command Creator.
