Since the year 2011, the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) has organized, in collaboration with Al Ain City Municipality (AAM) the International Conference on Engineering Geophysics (ICEG). In 2015 the Society of Exploration Geophysicist (SEG) became the scientific partner in organizing the event, The ICEG success was reflected by the increasing number of participants in the successive events from different countries around the world in addition to the increasing number of the submitted high quality papers.

We are planning to make the ICEG a truly innovative event, we have introduced in 2017 for the first time the “Innovation Award for Geophysics”, which is an open competition and the top three ranked candidates receive financial awards. This competition has been sustained as one of the main activities of the conference.
