Liam O’Brien, Ph.D., P.Eng. is an Associate Professor for Carleton University’s Architectural Conservation and Sustainability Engineering program. He is the principal investigator of the Human Building Interaction Lab, which consists of a team of 12 researchers with diverse backgrounds in engineering, architecture, and psychology. His team is developing occupant-centric design processes, building code, and controls for high-performance buildings. He has authored over 130 publications and two books on this topic. He is the co-Operating Agent of IEA EBC Annex 79: Occupant-Centric Building Design and Operation and the past president of the Canadian chapter of the International Building Performance Simulation Association.

Dr Masa Noguchi is an Associate Professor in Environmental Design at the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning, University of Melbourne, specialising in "Environmental Experience Design (EXD)" research that embraces value analysis and mass customisation techniques applied to architectural design decision-making process. In parallel to EXD studies, he also initiated global movement on zero energy mass custom home (ZEMCH) and vertical village/subdivision plug-in housing system research and development for future-proof city evolution. Dr Noguchi is a Chartered Engineer, Environmentalist, and Technological Product Designer registered respectively with the Engineering Council, Society for the Environment, and the Institution of Engineering Designers in the UK. In 2002, he also became a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and today, he serves as a Certified Passive House Designer registered with the Passive House Institute in Germany. Dr Noguchi is the founding coordinator of ZEMCH Network (www.zemch.org) which consists of over 750 partners from nearly 45 countries and developed a series of industry-academia knowledge transfer events. ZEMCH international conferences (from 2012), ZEMCH sustainable design workshops (from 2014) and ZEMCH technical missions (from 2006) are amongst the projects being organised by ZEMCH Network today in partnership with the regional experts centres based currently in Australia, Brazil, Italy, Korea, UAE and UK. At the Melbourne School of Design, he leads ZEMCH engineering design courses within the graduate program. Before coming to Melbourne, he was a Reader at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, The Glasgow School of Art affiliated with the University of Glasgow, where he established a ZEMCH pathway within the Master of Architectural Studies program. His research is based on ZEMCH engineering design and socially, economically, environmentally and humanly sustainable housing community developments in global contexts. Inventing a "mass custom design" system approach to quality affordable housing, he developed a digitalised interactive mass custom design communication tool, which was demonstrated in the US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon's Canadian house 2005. In 2006, he designed Canada's first near net zero energy home - Alouette Homes' EcoTerra house - built and commercialised through the federal government's EQuilibrium sustainable housing initiative/competition in 2007. Moreover, he also contributed to Scottish and Brazilian ZEMCH construction projects. Serving as the editorial board member of over 15 journals, Dr Noguchi stresses the need for EXD research and practice in built environments for the occupants' physical and mental health and well-being. 

Prof. James Klausner is a Professor and Dean of Engineering at the UAEU and is formerly an MSU Foundation Professor and Mechanical Engineering Department Chair at Michigan State University (2016-2021). He is the co-founder of a grid scale energy storage company, RedoxBlox. He formerly served as Chair of the ASME Heat Transfer Division (2011-2012). He serves on the board of directors for the American Society of Thermal Fluid Engineers and the International Titanium Association Foundation. For three and a half years he served as a Program Director at the U.S. Department of Energy Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E). Prior to that he held the Newton C. Ebaugh Professorship in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida (1989-2015). He received his Ph.D. degree in 1989 from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He has made substantial fundamental contributions to understanding the dynamics of boiling heat transfer systems. He has made many fundamental and applied research contributions in high temperature thermochemistry, waste heat and solar driven desalination, and high heat flux phase-change heat transfer. Dr. Klausner has authored more than 150 refereed publications and is the author of ten patents and four provisional patents. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Society of Thermal Fluid Engineers. He is a recipient of the ASME Heat Transfer Division Memorial Award and the 75^th Anniversary Award.

Professor of Sustainable Design and Architectural Engineering in the Faculty of Design, and Director of Research Centre at Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) in Kyrenia, Cyprus. He is a Chartered Architect (RIBA) and a Chartered Engineer (CIBSE) with over 20 years of academic and practice experience in the field of Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) in the Built Environment in UK, Europe, Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions.

Prof. Dr. Altan sits on a number of editorial boards and reviews project proposals for the European Commission, UK Research Councils, and Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) by Qatar Foundation. Since 2004, he has, singly or jointly, secured and directed 32 research grants worth over £21 million. He is a founding member of the International Network on Zero Energy Mass Custom Home (ZEMCH), which has so far organised seven international conferences, several design workshops, and numerous technical visits. As well as having supervised 17 successful PhD students, Prof. Dr. Altan has published over 250-refereed journal and conference papers in related fields.

Dr. Shaila Bantanur assumed the role of Director at BMS School of Architecture on 25th of August 2020. Dr. Shaila Bantanur obtained her Doctoral Degree from The Indian Institute of Technology; Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) India. Having more than 20 years of experience as a Researcher, Academician & Practitioner.

On Research front, she has enormous contributions & connects nationally & internationally. Her research interest includes Sustainability Assessment Tools, Traditional Buildings, Building Energy and Cultural and heritage studies. Her research works were published and presented in various national and international peer reviewed journals and conferences. Currently she is the project Investigator for couple of research grants focusing on Traditional buildings performances.  Coordinator for Unnat Baharat Abhayan (UBA), a flagship program of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
