Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL) have been quite popular in the recent years. Success stories from self-driving cars to medical imaging are filling the media. GIS is not falling behind: having efficient and intelligent tools will significantly cut costs of creating and maintaining GIS content and bring its quality to higher standards. Using AI in the transportation for planning and logistics, smart grid management, and more can increase productivity and improve safety. In this talk, Esri will provide an in-depth overview of advanced applications all over the world where AI are used for classifying vehicles and their types in parking lots using DL, detecting and analyzing objects from FMV, Imagery analytics for land monitoring & intelligent inspection, using DL for restoring 3D buildings from aerial LiDAR, predicting weather using Support Vector Machines (SVM) & forest-based Prediction, predicting environmental phenomena such as seagrass growth, automatic image classification of UAE University first 3D Campus model, and leveraging drone technology for facility mapping and site surveys.
This talk will also provide a walkthrough of the latest and most advanced feature analytics that use different AI techniques to implement solutions and applications to the most common challenges. These applications use AI for applications such as deep neural network for car accident prediction, DBScan & PCA for smart road digitization, SVM for movement intelligence, ANN for ETA trip prediction, predictive policing, the planned implementation of the world’s first AI-powered GeoSmart Contact Center, and more.
