Al Ain is the second largest city in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and the fourth largest in the United Arab Emirates. It is located approximately 140 km from Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It is known as the 'Oasis City' or the 'Garden City' and the 'Cultural Sites of Al Ain' was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2011.
The weather is hot and dry during the summer while it is quite pleasant during the winter. We expect an excellent weather during the days of the symposium.
The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is the first and most comprehensive national university in the United Arab Emirates with its main campus in Al Ain. Founded in 1976 by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, UAEU is a comprehensive, research-intensive university enrolling approximately 14,000 students. The symposium will be held in the College of Information Technology building (Building E1) on the new campus of the UAEU.
