Without water, life cannot be sustained, and factors such as population growth, increased urbanization, and climate change all contribute to a lack of freshwater resources. A particularly acute challenge for arid and semi-arid regions, water scarcity can impact all aspects of sustainable development.

Water is the most limiting and strategically important resource in such areas including the United Arab Emirates. The future and prosperity of nations is largely dependent on water availability and sustainability. Therefore, the organization of this conference during Expo 2020. Dubai- could have not been more appropriate. The United Arab Emirates has always been addressing imminent issues of global concerns. Through this conference, we seek innovative solutions to ensure water availability for the future generations. This event will foster the global collaboration on water issues”.
