A conference poster presentation is an opportunity to showcase a research project by:
An ePoster presentation is similar to a traditional poster presentation, but the ‘poster’ is displayed on a computer or TV screen. This gives presenters the opportunity to incorporate more than one slide and a wide variety of dynamic, interactive and multimedia features, such as videos, audios, hyperlinks, and animated diagrams, into their visuals.
An easily adapted Powerpoint-based ePoster template is available for USRC presenters on SASP USRC 2019 Blackboard site. The USRC office will provide ongoing support and assistance for students working in this format for the first time.
If you are presenting an ePoster at the USRC, you or one of your group members needs to be present on the conference day to speak about the project and answer questions.

The features of a good ePoster are very similar to those of a good traditional poster. It should present the main points of your research project in a way that can be easily understood by a mixed audience. It should generate interest, questions and discussion about the project. It should not report all the details of your work.
A good ePoster will have clearly organized sections (see below) and an attractive overall design. It should have a limited amount of text, effective graphics and a few well-chosen dynamic, interactive or multimedia features. Colors should be chosen carefully, especially font and background color combinations.
An ePoster presentation format allows you to create a ‘poster’ consisting of multiple slides, but you should not have more than 4 slides in total. If using multiple slides, ensure that they are organized in a logical sequence.
The USRC ePoster template has four slides with the following features:
By following these instructions, your ePoster will be compatible with the conference TV and Computer screens.
Create a folder and name it: USRC2019-YOURNAME (no spaces)
Download and save the ePoster template
All additional files such as audio, video, images you create to use in the ePoster need to be saved into the same folder.
Save ePoster Powerpoint as .pptx to ensure all your embedded images and videos are included.
