College of Information Technology exhibits the latest industry innovations
College of Information Technology (CIT) organized an “Industrial Innovation Exhibition”
with the participation of a number of governmental and private institutions and IT
companies. The 12 participating entities showcased their latest innovations in the
field of information technology, and offered internship opportunities for IT students
to develop their capabilities and having them invest it in serving the technological
sector in the country.
Fatima Al Kaabi, the young inventor, aspires to become a minister of innovation
Fatima Al-Kaabi, a grade 11 student from Manor Hall International School in Al Ain
who aspires to become the UAE Minister of Innovation in the future, shared her innovation
experience, which resulted in 12 inventions in various fields. The latest one was
a "Robot", that can go to school to attend classes and interacts with the teachers
and the school environment. She has proven that women can be outstanding inventors,
with great potential enabling her to offer a lot to her country and society, and that
innovation has no age.
550 students learn about Industrial Innovations
CIT welcomed a number of university freshmen students and school students where they
were briefed on the specializations offered by the College of Information Technology.
They, then toured the departments of the college to get acquainted with the scientific
labs in the college and listened to a detailed explanation by the college’s faculty
on the specialties required by the job market and that is to attract them to join
the IT programs at the university.
Collaboration agreement and workshops sidelining the exhibition
CIT signed a collaboration agreement with Etimad Research and Development in the fields
of scientific research and artificial intelligence. Also, a number of workshops on
innovation and modern trends in the field of information technology and industrial
intelligence were organized and attended by faculty members, university students and
IT experts.
