Future Employment in Time of Automation and Modern Technologies
UAEU Center for Public Policy and Leadership organized a seminar titled: “Future Employment
in Time of Automation and Modern Technologies”. The seminar discussed the future of
the UAE labor market in the light of automation and technological development and
recommendations to the decision-makers about providing Emirati cadres with the necessary
skills to participate in the future industry in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Dr. Ateeq Al Mansouri, UAEU Center for Public Policy and Leadership’s Director, pointed
out that this seminar aims at highlighting the sectors of the UAE labor market that
are expected to be affected by the wave of permanence and looking forward to the future
of the UAE labor market in the light of these changes and scientific progress and
the adoption of robots and industrial intelligence in various fields.
Dr. Ateeq Al Mansouri stressed on the importance of the decision in providing the
labor market with human cadres and the necessary skills to adapt to these transformations
and benefit from them.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Najjar, Chair of the Department of Psychology and Counseling, College
of Humanities and Social Sciences, presented the vision of the UAE's wise leadership
as the future of distance learning and, where future teachers are forced to deal with
modern technologies to introduce lectures and lessons that began a few years ago.
Known as "Smart Learning" and virtual learning. Der. Al-Najjar explained that fears
have begun to manifest to the disappearance of some jobs from the labor market, which
is necessarily in the adaptation of educational institutions to their scientific curricula,
as well as the specializations and the emergence of common and serious educational
concepts Known as "Scientific Hybridization" which combines several disciplines with
the scientific and technical training and skills development according to the requirements
of the future.
Dr. Naima Al Darmaki, from the College of Engineering, pointed out the importance
of individual skills and learning in an innovative way that will enhance the ability
of creative thinking, in addition to the role of strategic partnership with industrial
companies and the exchange of knowledge and technology for developing the intelligent
education.
