H.E. Professor Mohammed Albaili, UAEU Vice Chancellor, opened the Students Innovative Scientific Research “SUREPLUS 2017 Poster” exhibition in the CIT building where College of Science students showcased various scientific innovative researches from different disciplines.

Many research projects were presented to the Vice Chancellor by students, among them:

• “The anti-cancer action of saffron’s bioactive molecule on HepG2 cells by inducing Autophagy” research project was presented by: Hasna Mubarak, Tasnim Barbari, Mahra Rahmdel, Marwa Al Blooshi and Jawaher Hamad.
• "Exploring oil through the study of crustacean microorganisms (Estercoda) : a Comparsion between the Ancient and Modern Environment” which is considered the 1st research in this topic in the UAE. The research was by: Hallah Fawzy, Hanan Al Morshedi, Maha Al Kendi, Mouza Al Balushi and Hamda Al Yasi
• A research on finding and converting diesel fuel production known as DM5 presented by Muadh Ahmed, Mohamed Al Tenaiji and Salem Basuwaid.
