UAEU Center for Public Policy and Leadership Center Innovates Brainstorming Session:
Integrated Perspective for a Better Future
Under the title of “Integrated Perspective for a Better Future”, United Arab Emirates
University (UAEU) Center for Public Policy and Leadership organized a brainstorming
session, with a focus on innovation in the fields of energy, education, health, transportation,
technologies, space and water, for undergraduate students, alumni, researchers and
interested people. The aim of the session was to propose and discuss innovative research
topics in their areas of study and expertise that support UAE’s sustainable development
goals whilst serving the vision of the Abu Dhabi 2030 agenda.
Dr. Khamis Al Obaidli, Opinion Polls and Future Studies Expert, UAEU Center for Public
Policy and Leadership stated the importance of such brainstorming sessions as it contributes
to innovation pillars and gives researchers and students the opportunities to learn
about the new developments and ideas in research that match their specialites and
provides them with insights and ideas. Dr. Al-Obaidli added that honor students from
different academic disciplines as well as distinguished alumni are invited to attend
and participate in these sessions, which opens their horizons towards a better future
and allows them to come up with recommendations and research proposals that meet the
aspirations of the UAE as well as enhances its research position globally in coordination
with the University's Innovation Park, renowned scientific companies, Governmental
organizations involved in knowledge management and innovation.
A research team will be formed to build on the students and researchers ideas, study
them and look for ways of gaining fund and support for them from the concerned authorities
to ensure that they are adopted and that research which is carried forward meets the
needs of the UAE community, contributes to the scientific research renaissance at
UAEU “the University of the Future" whilst at the same time identifying research opportunities
for research students.
