The Research Office and the College of Engineering at UAEU are pleased to invite you to submit an abstract for the Annual Research and Innovation Conference that will be held during the period 5-6 February, 2018 at UAE University, Al Ain. The main theme of the conference is “Future Engineering and Well-being of UAE”. A special focus will be devoted to the following areas: 

• Innovative engineering towards human well-being: considering innovative and interdisciplinary research in various fields of engineering that is carried out to improve human lives.
• Sustainable built environment: encompassing environmental, economical, management and engineering solutions for complex problems.
• Applied science and technology towards innovation: involving practical products, services, technologies to meet existing or future requirements.
• Innovative interdisciplinary research and implementation: including innovative research focused to solve real problems and combining different disciplines.
• Open theme: encompassing innovative research, which does not fit in any of the above sub-themes

Authors are invited to submit only abstracts for oral and/or poster presentation online through the conference website. The deadline for abstract submission is December 31^st, 2017. Notifications of acceptance of the submitted abstracts will be communicated by January 20^th, 2018.  Each submitted abstract is limited to 300 words and will be published in the conference booklet, which will be available online through the conference website and as a hard copy during the conference.

UAEU faculty members awarded internal and/or external research grants in the past 2 years in any field related to the above topics of the conference should submit an abstract, present their work, and actively participate in the conference.

Graduate students and UAEU undergraduate students, who participated the SURE⁺ program in 2016 and 2017, are highly encouraged to submit an abstract.
