It is my pleasure to serve as a Chairman of the Fifth International Conference on Engineering Geophysics and to welcome you to Al-Ain City.

After ten years of the establishment of the International Conference on Engineering Geophysics and on its 5th anniversary it is expected that more than 450 national and international experts shall be convening this year to the conference to discuss recent trends and developments, to exchange experiences, and to establish new connections in a field in which we have already witnessed great successes.

The focus of this year´s conference is the innovation and the use of artificial intelligence in engineering/environment and related applications. This conference will be offering the chance to stock of what have been achieved, and what improvements are needed, in addition to what form of support needed to create start-ups in the various field applications? I am sure that all these questions will be answered and resolved during the many sessions of the ICEG2019. 

You are warmly invited to the ICEG2019. Be there, take part, and join the discussions in the different sessions. Your participation in the conference, in addition to the gained scientific benefits, will offer you the opportunity to explore Al-Ain City and United Arab Emirates University and to take back home with you some interesting and memorable impressions.
