On behalf of the scientific community at UAEU, we are delighted to invite you and to welcome you to the Fifth International Conference on Engineering Geophysics (ICEG), to be held October 21-24, 2019 at the United Arab Emirates University in Al-Ain.

The ICEG is being organized every two years since 2011 by the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) in collaboration with Al Ain City Municipality (AAM). The fifth edition of the ICEG is also in partnership with the SEG. The ICEG success was reflected by the increasing number of participants, where it reached in the last event 354 registered delegates from 31 countries, in addition to the high quality and number of received (197) and accepted (132) papers.

As part of our objectives to make the ICEG a truly innovative forum, we have introduced in 2017 for the first time the “Innovation Award for Geophysics”, which is an open competition and the top three classified candidates will have financial awards. This award will continue as part of the conference’s associated activities to the ICEG. I strongly encourage candidates to submit their applications to this unique award.

UAEU is the first and most comprehensive national university in the United Arab Emirates. Since its establishment in 1976, the University has expanded rapidly from four colleges to the current nine colleges across all major discipline areas, with a total enrolment of about 14,000 students. The University employs over 900 faculty members and instructors, and offers bachelor degrees, M.Sc and Ph.D. programs as well as Continuing Education Programs for the community at large.
