ICCAS-2025 Poster Competition: Rules and Guidelines

The ICCAS-2025 committee will invite international reviewers to evaluate posters presented on Day 1 and Day 2 of the conference (October 7-8). The best poster (top three) will be announced on the ICCAS-2025 website and via email to all participants/attendees of the conference on October 9. The posters should present research meeting the theme of the conference.

Poster sessions are a valuable opportunity for authors to present papers and meet interested attendees for in-depth technical discussions and networking. A well-planned and organized poster can make your presentation clear, effective, and rewarding.

YOUR Goals should be:

• To attract the attention of attendees and provide a clear overview of YOUR work.
• To explain YOUR research without a formal oral presentation.
• To initiate discussion and answer questions without overwhelming the audience.

What Authors should bring:

• Printed posters according to the rules and guidelines provided below
• Heavy-duty fasteners/tacks as backup to the thumbtacks. Bring tape or other materials as determined necessary
• You may bring additional written material of a non-commercial nature to supplement your poster.
• Business cards. This is a GREAT networking opportunity.
• Comfortable shoes. Standing can be tiring!
• QR codes are encouraged (linking to your full paper, LinkedIn profile, or supplementary material) to enhance visibility and networking.

Poster Competition Rules:

1. Prepare posters on a single sheet with A0-paper size (in Portrait) with the following dimensions: Height 46.8 inches (118.9 cm); Width =33.1 inches (84.1 cm).

Do not tack individual pages of a PowerPoint presentation or a text manuscript onto a poster board. This action will automatically disqualify your work from the competition.

2. The following logos must appear at the top of the poster (from left to right): , United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) logo, and official sponsor logos (if applicable). Logos must be of high resolution and proportionally scaled.

3. Each poster must display the abstract number (Poster ID) and Track number clearly at the top-right corner of the poster in bold font (minimum size 32pt).

4. Poster must clearly identify the presenting author (bold and underlined) and the corresponding author (marked with an asterisk). All authors’ affiliations should be listed below their names.

5. There are no provisions for making posters at the meeting, nor for receiving, storing, or returning posters to authors. YOU are responsible for bringing your poster and collecting it after the conference.

6. Poster display area is rented and cannot be written on or defaced.

7. All figures, tables, and text must be readable from a distance of 1.5 –2 meters. Use a minimum font size of 24pt for body text.

Digital Upload Requirement

• All presenters must also submit a PDF copy of their final poster (A0 format) before the conference. Please send PDF posters to Prof. Lindita Bande (lindita.bande@uaeu.ac.ae) by October 6 indicating your poster ID.
• This will be uploaded to the ICCAS-2025 online portal to allow wider visibility and archiving.
• Virtual Poster Gallery
• All posters (in PDF format) will be showcased in an online gallery accessible to registered participants, including those unable to attend in person. Please send PDF posters to Prof. Lindita Bande (lindita.bande@uaeu.ac.ae) by October 6 indicating your poster ID.
• This ensures broader dissemination and increases international reach.

What ICCAS-2025 Committee will provide:

• On-site technical volunteers for poster assistance
