International Conference on Education (ICE)

 Theme: Creativity, Innovation, and Research for Excellence in Education

Introduction

We are living in a world that is rapidly changing. Challenges and demands for immediate educational reforms are growing as a result of the fast and continuously changing societies. All these changes have affected people’s lives and resulted in the search for better educational practices.

The conference theme highlights the importance of creative and/or innovative educational practices in order to develop and maintain excellence in education. Addressing the issues of creativity and/or innovation will help in developing and maintaining better teaching and learning outcomes. The overall goal of the conference is therefore to bring together educational practitioners from around the globe to share creative and/or innovative ideas, thoughts and experiences to improve learning outcomes and promote excellence in teaching practices.

It is hoped that the conference will provide a discussion platform for best practices in teaching and learning and their applications in different educational settings.

The conference invites researchers, educators, teachers and professional practitioners to discuss and share creative and innovative practices in maintaining and enhancing excellence in education mostly needed at this time of great challenges. The College of Education at the UAE University intends to invite a number of prominent international keynote speakers from different educational disciplines to speak at the conference. It is also expected that interested researchers and teachers will come together to share experiences and discuss effective approaches and procedures to enhance and maintain excellence in education.

 

Goals:

  1. Explore current creative and/or innovative educational efforts and/or practices and their roles in promoting excellence in teaching and learning.
  2. Discuss the challenges facing the implementation of modern educational reforms in teaching and learning.
  3. Assess the impact of creative and/or innovative educational practices on teaching and learning in particular and the whole society in general.
  4. Reflect on the impact of modern creative and/or innovative technologies on teaching students with special needs.
  5. Identify and highlight the roles of higher education institutions in developing and maintaining cutting edge educational practices and quality assurance systems.
