Young Authors’ Competition

The Young Authors’ Competition and Awards Ceremony is a project initiated in 2015 by the English Literature Department at the United Arab Emirates University. The goal of the competition and awards ceremony is to encourage and reward excellence in writing in the primary and secondary years.

Generally, the competition is open to any student attending either a public or private school within the city (and near environs) of Al Ain. The deadline for submissions is usually mid to late November and writing themes will vary year to year. For information and guidelines specific to this year’s competition, please see the links above.
