Keynote Title “The Evolution of IP Law in the AI Era”

A recognized scholar and consultant, Professor Sarnoff has advised major international bodies such as the World Health Organization and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and has contributed extensively to IP policy through expert testimony and numerous amicus briefs before the U.S. Supreme Court and Federal Circuit. His keynote will examine how artificial intelligence is driving fundamental changes in intellectual property law and innovation governance, aligning with the conference’s vision of exploring best practices for innovation protection across diverse industries and understanding of how intellectual property systems can adapt to technological change.

Keynote Title “Harnessing Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Innovation”

A distinguished scholar and innovation leader, Professor Tucci has held senior academic roles at Imperial College London, EPFL, and NEOM University, and has made pioneering contributions to digital transformation, AI, and business model innovation. With a Ph.D. from MIT and a research portfolio spanning digital strategy, deep tech acceleration, and co-creation in AI and robotics, his keynote will explore how emerging technologies can foster sustainable innovation and organizational transformation—advancing the conference’s mission to inspire creative thinking and strengthen innovation-driven collaboration within the UAE and beyond.

 

Professor Kelvin Willoughby holds the Stiftungsfonds Deutsche Bank Chair of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. He specializes in intellectual property management and technology entrepreneurship, with extensive international experience advising industry and governments. In his presentation titled “Intellectual Property: The Key to Appropriating Value from Creativity and Innovation,” Professor Willoughby will discuss how IP supports capturing value and fostering innovation culture.

Dr. Juanqiong Gou is a Professor at Beijing Jiaotong University and Director of the Virtual Simulation Teaching & Experiment Center. She specializes in digital transformation, human–AI collaboration, and smart education. Dr. Gou will present “V-Bridge Program of BJTU: Leveraging the Virtual Simulation Platform to Co-create Business Education,” sharing her experience developing award-winning virtual simulation courses that enhance business education through AI and collaboration.

Professor Federico Munari is Full Professor of Technology and Innovation Management at the University of Bologna. His expertise includes innovation management, intellectual property, technology transfer, and entrepreneurial finance. He has published extensively on topics such as research commercialization and university-industry collaboration. Professor Munari’s presentation, “From Research to Innovation Impact: Towards New Frameworks for Assessing Knowledge Valorisation,” will focus on new approaches to evaluate how research translates into innovation and societal value.
