The Hamdan Bin Rashid Award for distinguished academic performance

The Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award has strived to enrich all efforts taken to supporting the gifted. Such efforts come in light of the vision and guidance directed by H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, where His Highness ordered the foundation of a center for the gifted, with enriching programs and sessions to elevate the levels of talented students in all humanitarian specialties, as well as social, economic and technical endeavors. The Main purpose is to disseminate the culture of excellence in cooperation with the various academic authorities devoted to supporting the talented, locally, regionally and internationally.In the process of searching for the talented, dedicated supporting programs were released in 2002, 2003 , 2004 and 2005. Such supporting programs included workshops, empirical works, discussions, school support, individual programs, visits, scientific expeditions, athletic programs and entertaining programs.In September, 2006, a national plan for supporting the gifted was prepared, with a structured approach to regulate actions undertaken towards the gifted category, within a comprehensive model designed per the latest theories and methodologies.Since 2001, the Award succeeded in its mission to achieve a lot of accomplishments which contributed to enriching the academic field and specifically in the gifted category.
